Look!

I’ve actually been kind-of sporty this holiday! I’ve been in the mountains the whole time (28th of September to 7th of October), therefore no posts ere for a long time now. But now I’m back! Here are a few pictures from some of our hiking trips!

Photographers: Dad, my second cousin Telma and myself

“Model-thingys”: Mum, Dad, my little brother Magnus, my brothers friend Gjermund, my second cousin Telma and the dogs Lucy and Victor (Telma’s), Oprah, Shanti, Petite and Elle (my neighbour’s) + Luna and Lexie (my dogs)…

See you later, alligator!

inspiration; nature

Some nature inspiration today. I’m at school now, just finished a math test (first of the year, finally done!)… Leaving to the mountains again this afternoon, ’cause we have a week-long holiday now, yeeey! 🙂 I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post there, maybe I can, maybe I can’t. We’ll see! 🙂

World Suicide Prevention Day

“10 September 2012

World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September promotes worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides. On average, almost 3000 people commit suicide daily. For every person who completes a suicide, 20 or more may attempt to end their lives.

The sponsoring International Association for Suicide Prevention, the co-sponsor WHO and other partners advocate for the prevention of suicidal behaviour, provision of adequate treatment and follow-up care for people who attempted suicide, as well as responsible reporting of suicides in the media.

At the global level, awareness needs to be raised that suicide is a major preventable cause of premature death. Governments need to develop policy frameworks for national suicide prevention strategies. At the local level, policy statements and research outcomes need to be translated into prevention programmes and activities in communities.”

I wrote the word LOVE on my wrist today, to mark the World Suicide Prevention Day. If you want to do the same, wear something yellow, or write love on your wrist too!  Maybe someone close to you have commited suicide, or you once tried yourself. Personally, I don’t know anybody who have killed them self, but I know several people who cut their wrists. (Unfortunately).
