The day before the day

Today is the 23rd of December. In Norway, we call this day for “Lille Julaften”, or translated to English, “Little Christmas Eve”. For us, this is the day before the day. We celebrate Christmas on the 24th, on Christmas Eve, not on Christmas Day like in England, for example. Christmas Eve, tomorrow, is the day we go to church, have a big dinner with our families and open presents in the evening. Although, not everyone goes to church, I only do it because of the band I’m playing in (our School Band/Marching Band) plays there every year.

This was our Christmas tree two years ago. We had half our family visiting, so we couldn’t fit all the presents under the tree (as you can see)

Myself, my cousin and my little brother on Christmas Eve two years ago. My brother hates to dress nicely and properly, so excuse him for his terrible, out-washed t-shirt…

Christmas Eve is a really great day. In the morning, I start with opening my advent calendar. Then I go downstairs and watch some Christmas Classics, just like I do every year. Traditions are wonderful! For us, Christmas really starts on the 24th at 5 PM. After that, we eat loads of food, often together with family. And then, it’s presents time!  I like to sit around the tree and watch the others open their presents. It’s nice to see how they react, lots of funny faces. 🙂

This is 6 years ago. So proud, I got a Tamagotchi!

We’ve just finished decorating this years tree now, so I was supposed to post a picture. But I can’t find the thing I need to download the pictures from my camera to my computer. Therefore, you’ll see it later. Now, I’m going to watch another of our Christmas traditions, a Norwegian show called “Kvelden før kvelden” ( “The evening before the evening”, roughly translated).

Myself, one of my dogs and my brother, Christmas 2008. Look, how young! Haha 🙂

Bye, guys! Merry Christmas, and I’ll talk to you again soon!

Christmas Special No.1

Hi guys! As you may have noticed, I have been off this blog for a while. I thought some of you maybe wanted a reason, and here it is: Exams. Yuck! I really, really hate them! But when they’re so important as they are, you can’t just ignore them complitely!

Since my holiday is in only 4 days, Christmas Eve is in a week and New Years is only two weeks away, I thought I should make a Christmas Special! This will be the first of several, and they can include all things that has something to do with Christmas. For example, I can make a post about my Christmas Traditions and the traditional Norwegian Christmas, or post Christmas Songs I love to listen to or like this post, a picture spam/inspiration post. I hope you’ll appreciate it, and maybe get a little bit more of that Christmas Spirit we’re always looking for. I’ll let the pictures speak the rest for themselves!

Night, guys…. Going to bed now, it’s almost 12AM here. And I have my last, exam tomorrow.

A few of the pictures is taken from, btw… I promise you that you’ll find quite a few amazing nail designs there. Worth a look! The rest is from , so I’m not sure of their origins! 😉

November 27th – Sweet Fifteen, at last

Sorry for no blogging these past days, I’ve been so stressed and busy. But today is something else: I’TS MY BIRTHDAAAY! I’m finally fifteen, which means I don’t have to feel so small all the time! My best friends are all (except from one, her birthday is in one month) older than me; some with almost 1 year, others with almost 3. Yeah, you probably see why I feel so young. And I don’t like being the little one! 😦

But since I’ve missed a few days of my challenge, I thought I could make a post with something from each challenge I’ve missed later! But now, I have to go, I have a LOT of homeworks and exams these days which I really need to prepare to…

Yesterday ~ Runi’s birthday

Yesterday, Runi celebrated her 17th birthday. Therefore, she invited me and a couple of others to celebrate with her! It was really nice, we laughed, ate, played Trivial Pursuit (haha) and just had a really good time. And took pictures, of course! Here’s a few of them 🙂

Now, I’m going to bed. Toodles!

November 17th – My favourite shoes

I LOVE SHOES! Unfortunately, I have really few of them. Usually, I borrow my mother’s shoes, ’cause we’re the same size, but I really want some of my own too. I have two pairs of high heeled boots, one pair of flat-ish boots, one pair of Dr. Martens, sandals/flip flops and different types of sport shoes (hiking shoes, running shoes etc). Yeah, not very many. So, instead of showing my shoes, I will show you shoes I want! Let’s get started! 🙂

Shoes I want

Will you by me some of these? Then I’d be grateful forever! Haha:P Now, I’m really tired. A friend of mine celebrated her birthday today, so I’ve been at her place this evening. Came home about 2 hours ago, and now I’ve made this and a couple of other posts for you guys! Also, it’s almost 2.30 AM here. Therefore, I shall go to bed now… Talk to you later, alligators!
